Canada, the UK, and France have jointly condemned Israel’s expanded military operations in Gaza and the West Bank, threatening sanctions if humanitarian conditions don’t improve. The three nations called Sunday’s announcement of limited food aid “wholly inadequate” amidst “intolerable” suffering. While affirming Israel’s right to self-defense, they warned they “will not stand by” as Netanyahu’s government continues actions they deem disproportionate. The allied nations also criticized West Bank settlement expansion, which they consider illegal and detrimental to a two-state solution. Israel recently launched new operations across Gaza, including evacuating Khan Younis, while Netanyahu declared plans to “take control of all of Gaza.”
